Meet St. Louis

Saturday, September 1, 2018

Through a wide variety of small group experiences, first-year students can discover, engage, and reflect on community development efforts and service opportunities in St. Louis.

Topics include conversations about the politics of public education, the local sustainable food movement, societal systems that reinforce hunger and homelessness, and public health in the St. Louis region.

Led by faculty, staff, and student group leaders who have a specific and deep connection with a variety of local issues and neighborhoods, these excursions are the beginning of a meaningful conversation for new WashU students about what it means to be an engaged member of the St. Louis community.
